Turku Science Park Ltd is a limited liability company whose mission is to co-ordinate the business and innovation services in the Turku region as well as strengthening the co-operation between the local universities, companies and municipalities to promote growth and well-being in the region. The company is also responsible for communication under the common marketing name Turku Business Region.

The principal owner of the non-profit company is the City of Turku. Other shareholders include e.g. Turku Technology Properties Group, Åbo Akademi University, University of Turku, Turku Chamber of Commerce, and some Turku region municipalities.

Within Scandria®2Act, Turku Science Park has contributed an urban node study, providing the southwest Finnish perspective to the Scandria Corridor Development, identfying great potentials in a better connection to the Stockholm-Mälardalen region.

Turku’s ambitious goal is to become a climate-positive area from 2029 on. Climate policy is an integral part of our strategy and sustainable transport connections are crucial for achieving our goal.

The One-Hour-Train, a high-speed rail link between Turku and Helsinki, will be one of the most important pre-identifi ed projects on the TEN-T corridor, connecting Finland to the European network."
