dena is Germany’s centre of expertise for energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and intelligent energy systems. As the "Agency for the Applied Energy Transition" dena contributes to the attainment of energy and climate policy objectives.

dena develops solutions and puts them into practice, both nationally and internationally. In order to achieve this, we bring together partners from politics and industry across all sectors - with an enthusiasm for one of the most exciting challenges of our time.

dena focuses its efforts on the building, power and transport consumption sectors, as well as on issues relating to energy generation, storage, networking, and digitalisation. dena realises pilot projects, advises politicians, manufacturers and service providers, qualifies multipliers, informs consumers, builds networks, encourages international exchanges and develops future scenarios.

Within Scandria2Act, dena is responsible for elaborating the Clean Fuel Deployment Strategy, that shall assess the effectinveness of policy and market instruments for the deployment of clean fuels.

"There’s a great need for international exchange about sustainable mobility and alternative fuels. dena is already actively collaborating on the implementation of joint projects with partners abroad regarding transport, energy efficiency and renewable energies. Scandria2Act is an important initiative which supports the market take-up of alternative fuels. Bringing together the experiences of different countries will help decision-makers pave the way towards a low emission transport market."
