Network Logistics Bayern


The Network Logistics was an initiative of the Bayern Innovativ GmbH. Since its founding in 2000, the network has set up a contact network of 1,400 companies and institutes in 12 European countries.

The Network provides innovation platforms on specific topics from the value chain of logistics to a wide variety of user industries to bring together experts from logistics, the manufacturing industry and science.

The symposiums "Logistik Innovativ" and the "Logistik Forum Nürnberg" are among the most prominent platforms. Held on an annually alternating basis, the symposiums give experts and decision-makers the opportunity to gather information on successfully finished projects and trigger cooperation for future ventures.

The Network Logistics Bayern is part of the Network of German Logistics Initiatives.

  • In 2014, trains accounted for more than one tenth of all inland passenger transport in Austria and Denmark, as well as in Switzerland.

  • Based on quarterly figures, rail passenger transport performance at EU-28 level continued to increase by 7.7 billion passenger-kilometres between 2014 and 2015 (+1.8 %).

  • The largest increases were recorded in Slovakia (+22.8 %), Greece (+19.7 %) and the Netherlands (+15.6 %).

  • Concerning the evolution of international transport (in thousand passengers) between 2014 and 2015, the largest increases were reported by Portugal (+44.9 %) and Czech Republic (+20.9 %).
