The main strategic tasks of the Council are regional development, regional land-use planning and international cooperation. In transport system the planning focuses on different transport modes, logistics networks, land use issues, funding and cooperation in the logistics sector, which are included in the strategic long term Transport System of Helsinki-Uusimaa Region.
"The Scandria®Alliance is a natural step to take after several years of collaboration between the key partners in EU funded projects. For HURC the Alliance is a forum for international benchmarking, especially in the fields of clean fuel deployment and multimodality.
Helsinki-Uusimaa region is the hotspot of Finland’s economic life and international accessibility. We strive to improve Finland’s international accessibility between continental Europe and the Arctic region, and to join the Scandria®Alliance is an important step in the mission."
